【Glass】Which glass material should be used?

1.The composition of raw materials is different: the main components of high borosilicate glass are boron trioxide and silicon dioxide, which is higher than that of ordinary glass, with a boron content of 14% and a silicon content of 80%. Ordinary glass contains more than 70% silicon, usually without boron, but sometimes only 1% at most.

2.The ability to withstand cold and thermal shock is different: the boron and silicon materials used in high borosilicate glass actually replace a large number of harmful heavy metal ions in raw glass, thus improving the cold and hot impact resistance of the glass. It can withstand high temperature of 600 degrees and temperature difference of 200 degrees, so the ability of cold and thermal shock resistance of high borosilicate glass is different from that of ordinary glass. 

3.Different uses: high borosilicate glass is mainly used in household appliances (for special glass turntable of microwave oven, observation window of drum washing machine, heat-resistant teapot teacup). Ordinary glass is widely used in mosaic building doors and windows, walls, interior decoration and so on.
